Seasons vary year to year, but in general, the first competition is held mid-late September. From then on, a competitior can expect a new tournament every other weekend, if not every weekend, until the state tournament in March. (Don't worry! Competitors aren't required to make every tournament! Participation is at the debator's discretion.) However, even after the "final" competition, the debate season never truly ends for the dedicated competitor.
